Steven Vote
Steven Vote is an internationally recognized Australian photographer. Now, after almost 20 years of working in advertising and editorial photography, Steven’s fine art work is coming to the surface. While living in New York City, Steven saw a unique charm in taxis. The yellow cab in its own modest way provides an almost soothing rhythm amid the urban chaos.
In this body of work, the NYC Taxi Series, Steven has taken pieces of the city’s confusion and created arresting compositions; choreographing a delicate dance of bright yellow amidst the busy streets of New York.
His work has been featured in “American Photo”, “PDN”, “Popular Photography”, “Applied Arts”, and singled out by “Graphis Photo Annual” for exceptional imagery.

NYC Taxi Series is showing at the Elaine Fleck Gallery, Toronto, Canada in November 2009. More info at elainefleckgallery.com

Come see the world through my eyes, a unique perspective of our everyday surroundings. My mission is to inspire you through visual stimulation. The beauty of abstractions is that I can put forth my visual interpretation, knowing that when you take from it something completely different, that’s when the fun truly starts.
