Jonathan Nourok: Photographer

Jonathan Nourok’s photographs of botanical subjects often explore a hidden inner “landscape” within. Through the purposefully narrow focus of his lens, he’s able to reveal sensuous and startling palettes of color, line, and form that escape the naked eye.

Some of his images rely on nature’s own spectacular symmetry; a closer inspection of which reveals unexpected likenesses of the larger world. In other photographs he uses digital manipulation to create that balance and reveal new or familiar forms.

Nourok — a native of Southern California — is based in Big Bear, California, and has been published, commercially and editorially around the world. Now, his botanical images are available for decorative uses. He is able to provide his clients with customized sizes in the print medium that best suits their projects.
